Talia is as passionate today as ever before about using exercise and mindful movement to increase longevity and quality of life. Originally fully certified by the internationally recognised STOTT Pilates method, Talia studied classical pilates principles based on in-depth postural analysis, muscle testing, clinical programming and exploring how Joseph Pilates intended his original exercises to help people live a better life. This was followed by further qualifications in clinical and pre/postnatal pilates, as well as a dual Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance (in the Physiotherapy stream) and Fitness. She is one of the few Pilates instructors with both classical and contemporary pilates training, making her skills invaluable when it comes to teaching all bodies, regardless of age, stage of life or fitness level.
Talia brings a unique blend of professional expertise honed by over nearly 20 years in the Allied Health and wellness sector. A highly qualified Pilates Professional with experience teaching in Physiotherapy clinics, boutique studios and fitness centres – Talia is also a certified Yin Yoga & Yoga Nidra teacher, Childbirth Educator, qualified Birth Doula, retreat facilitator, studio owner for 15 years, and mother of two beautiful teenagers.
She is deeply committed to helping individuals feel supported, connected, and healthy – so they can live a long, active life. Her classes focus on slower, more intentional movement to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Strong and soft – for balance.
Talia founded Village Wellness Torquay and Village Birth with the vision of creating a nurturing environment focused on health and wellbeing, where every person feels truly cared for. Her dedication shines through in the warm, welcoming atmosphere she has cultivated at the Village, you’ll always feel embraced, supported, and valued.
