Talia is as passionate today as ever before about using exercise and mindful movement to increase longevity and quality of life. Originally fully certified by the internationally recognised STOTT Pilates method, Talia studied classical pilates principles based on in-depth postural analysis, muscle testing, clinical programming and exploring how Joseph Pilates intended his original exercises to help people live a better life. This was followed by further qualifications in clinical and pre/postnatal pilates, as well as a dual Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance (in the Physiotherapy stream) and Fitness. She is one of the few Pilates instructors with both classical and contemporary pilates training, making her skills invaluable when it comes to teaching all bodies, regardless of age, stage of life or fitness level.
Talia brings a unique blend of professional expertise honed by over nearly 20 years in the Allied Health sector. A highly qualified Pilates Professional with experience teaching in Physiotherapy clinics, boutique studios and fitness centres – Talia is also a certified Childbirth Educator, qualified Birth Doula, retreat facilitator, studio owner for 15 years, and mother of two beautiful teenagers. Having a passion for ongoing learning, she is currently doing her Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra teacher training.
She is deeply committed to helping individuals feel supported, connected, and healthy – so they can live a long, active life. Her classes focus on slower, more intentional movement to strengthen the body and calm the mind. Strong and soft – for balance.
Talia founded Village Wellness Torquay and Village Birth with the vision of creating a nurturing environment focused on health and wellbeing, where every person feels truly cared for. Her dedication shines through in the warm, welcoming atmosphere she has cultivated at the Village, you’ll always feel embraced, supported, and valued. This space is a true reflection of Talia’s heart and her unwavering passion for bringing the community together in a positive, caring way.

Ainsley
Studio Manager & Qualified Integral Sound Practitioner
Ainsley
Ainsley is our Studio Manager and the go-to person for all your needs at Village Wellness Torquay and Village Birth. With a passion for fostering a positive and welcoming environment, she is dedicated to supporting our members in any way she can. Ainsley’s love for community and building meaningful connections makes her the perfect fit for our team. If you’re new to the Village, she’ll gladly take you on a tour and walk you through everything we have to offer.
In addition to her studio management role, Ainsley also leads both community and private Sound Immersions. These sessions incorporate a range of sacred sounds, including quartz crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drums, wind gongs, monochord, and other harmonic healing instruments, all designed to harmonise the mind, body, and spirit. Each intuitive sound session invites you on a journey to gently guide your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body back into true alignment.

Jess
Jess brings her passion for functional movement, strength and mind-body connection to every Pilates class, helping you to feel strong, grounded and confident. With a diploma in all Pilates modalities, including mat, reformer, equipment, and clinical Pilates, she is highly skilled and knowledgeable.
In addition to her Pilates expertise, Jess is a meditation teacher and psychology student with over a decades’ experience in community work here in Australia and overseas. She’s deeply passionate about both mental and physical health and loves creating diverse programs that keep things interesting. Jess’ knowledge, wisdom, and warmth make every class a truly enjoyable experience. We’re confident you’ll love her teaching style, so be sure to check out the timetable and explore her dynamic and transformative sessions.

Louise is a female-specific strength and movement coach with 15 years of industry experience, which has allowed her to develop a unique blend of skills and techniques. Her coaching approach is grounded in research, expertise, and knowledge, yet delivered in a way that’s intuitive, creative, and adaptable to the individual.
Louise’s superpower lies in helping her clients regain functionality, strength, and confidence through major life transitions—whether it’s pregnancy, early motherhood, perimenopause, menopause, recovering from injury or illness, or even re-establishing a fitness routine after a long break. Her classes are fun, engaging, and supportive, all while being challenging and dynamic. You’ll leave Louise’s sessions feeling energized, empowered, and excited for the next one.
As a qualified MumSafe teacher trainer, Louise also runs our Postpartum – Return to Exercise Safely 6-week course, supporting mums from 6 weeks postpartum and beyond. This program gently guides new mothers in moving their bodies again with babies by their side. Designed to help mums regain confidence in their body and exercise again, it also creates a supportive space for new mums to connect, recharge, and nurture themselves. We are truly grateful to have Louise with all her knowledge, experience and skills at the Village.

Kyliee brings over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry, including 12 years as a Fitness Director at a large commercial gym, along with running her own successful Personal Training business. As a trainer, Kyliee is exceptional. She takes the time to thoroughly explain each class, ensuring you understand every movement while closely monitoring your form. Her gentle guidance helps you stay safe and build strength with confidence. Fun, energetic, and truly passionate about her work, Kyliee is a trainer who makes every class enjoyable and impactful. It’s for very good reason that we call her Smiley Kyliee! Her infectious positivity and warm energy brighten every room, making her a truly loved part of the Village.

Blending functional fitness with mindful movement, Tyra focuses on improving posture, core strength, flexibility, and balance. She believes that sustainable results come from consistent habits and a supportive environment, which she fosters through her uplifting and encouraging teaching style. Whether working one-on-one or leading a group session, Tyra tailors her programs to suit individual needs and goals, always emphasising the connection between body, mind, and lifestyle. With over 400 hours of Yoga Teacher Training, Erin brings a wealth of knowledge and a warm, welcoming presence to every class. With twenty years of personal yoga practice, predominately in Iyengar and Hatha yoga, Aleisja has a strong commitment to yoga and a deep appreciation of its cultural origins. Aleisja has been teaching yoga since 2017, however, always considers herself a student before a teacher. Aleisja generously dedicates her time each month to offer a FREE community Yin yoga class. You will find Aleisja’s offering on the last Sunday of every month. We are truly so grateful to her and our other yoga teachers who step in from time to time to keep this community thriving.

With over 35 years of midwifery experience, Jacinta remains deeply passionate about supporting women and their babies, particularly during the antenatal and postnatal periods. She has dedicated more than 25 years to the postnatal home visiting department at Werribee Mercy Hospital, where she played a key role in setting up and running the service.
Jacinta brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in optimising post-birth recovery, whether after vaginal or caesarean delivery. She specialises in wound management, breastfeeding support, neonatal weight and jaundice assessment, newborn and infant settling, and supporting women’s emotional health during the crucial first 6 weeks postpartum.
Now, Jacinta offers Private Midwifery Care appointments at Village Birth, along with flexible home visits, providing personalised and compassionate care. She is also passionate about educating others on perimenopause and menopause, and how to navigate these transitions with the best support. If you reach out with an inquiry, there’s a good chance you’ll catch Jacinta on the phone, ready to help and offer her expert guidance.

Danni brings a strong professional background in education and teaching, which naturally evolved into a deep passion for supporting mothers in their parenting journey. As the founder of The Way of The Woman, Danni offers personalised 1:1 support as well as nurturing group settings for mothers to connect, share, heal, and grow on their Aware Parenting journey at Village Wellness Torquay. Danni facilitates Mother Daughter Circles, Mother Tween Circles, Mother Circles and our free Mother Gather Circles, all of which you’ll find in our schedule throughout the year. Her warm, compassionate approach creates a supportive space where mothers can find strength, connection, and community.

As a mother, I know firsthand the joys and challenges of parenthood. I’m especially passionate about supporting parents, including fathers and partners, who’ve experienced birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or postnatal struggles.
Inclusivity is at the heart of what I do. I am a strong ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and create a safe, trauma-sensitive space for all individuals. My goal is to empower you with the tools, understanding, and support to achieve lasting change.
