Yin & Yoga Nidra

A deeply nourishing session including 40 mins of Yin Yoga followed by 20 mins of Yoga Nidra. Typically in Yin Yoga we hold ‘shapes’ for longer periods of time, finding stillness to encourage effective release of fascia and tension in the body and joints. Most shapes are done on the mat or laying down and are often supported with bolsters or blocks so you are comfortable and moving within your range. Yoga Nidra (or ‘sleep yoga’), is an ancient technique used for deep relaxation and manifestation. By slowing down our brainwaves and drifting into a beautiful, deep state of relaxation with intention – we are able to imbed positive thoughts in our subconscious, as well as regulate our nervous system. This is truly where the magic happens. During Yoga Nidra you are laying down under a blanket, with pillows or any props you need to be as comfortable as you can get. Whether you are looking to rewire unhelpful beliefs into more positive ones, or purely needing deep nourishment of the nervous system – this class is for you! Please arrive early for Yin Yoga class — the door will be locked at the start to ensure a calm, undisturbed practice.
